The Glow Of Black Rice
Everyone is familiar with black hair, black hair and
black roses. But today we introduce you to black rice; yes black rice. Black
rice. From ancient times the people of China have been cultivating black rice.
Learn how the royal family of China became aware of the nutritional value of
black rice and restricted its cultivation and use to the royal family. For this
reason they are also called forbidden rice.
Some time ago, when modern science started re-examining the nutrients of various commodities, it was found that the amount of antioxidants and phytochemicals in black rice is very high. Rather, the most effective antioxidant and nutraceutical chemical compound anthocyanin is found in the highest amounts in black rice.
Anthocyanins are a deep purple color found mainly in
fruits that are separated from the fruit by a simple chemical process. This is
a compound whose constant use is extremely useful for the elimination of
chronic diseases. Even many types of cancer cells are killed by the use of
anthocyanins. That is why the demand and selling price of anthocyanins all over
the world is very high.
Black rice contains so much purple anthocyanins that they
look black. When ripe, they appear dark purple. The use of black rice has been
growing rapidly around the world since this tremendous discovery. It was first
cultivated in Thailand after China in the region. Then in the Philippines and
in 2011 a farmer in Assam in India successfully experimented with its cultivation.
Since then, thousands of acres of black rice have been cultivated annually in
Assam, Orissa and surrounding areas in India.
In the year 2017, it was successfully cultivated in
Ferozepur district of Indian Punjab. Here its yield per acre was thirty to
thirty-five manats. The selling price of black rice is much higher than that of
ordinary rice. Its wholesale price in India is three hundred and fifty Indian
rupees per kilogram. That is Pakistani eight hundred rupees per kg. And if it
had been grown organically without fertilizers and pesticides, the selling
price would have been five hundred Indian rupees per kilogram.
In simple words, even if it is grown in a normal way, a
crop of Rs. 1 million per acre can be obtained. The price of which is even
higher in the world market. Not only can we sell black rice directly, but we
can also earn a lot of foreign exchange by extracting anthocyanins from it and
selling it at high prices.
Hundreds of
avenues of prosperity and thousands of destinations await us if we have the
same habit of contemplation, a little bit of passion and desire for progress.
